Please take a look at my website. Hopefully, you'll be able to find the information you need. If you can't find what you're looking for, please phone, text or email with any questions you have and I'll respond as soon as I'm available to do so. Call 07850 445499 or 01689 861905
The counselling room is in a discreet location and outside of the home; so no disturbances from others i.e. family members. It's comfortable enough for 1:1 therapy, but also spacious enough to facilitate couple and small family/group sessions.
I believe the client-counsellor relationship is of the utmost importance in achieving positive results during therapy and I offer an initial meeting of 50 minutes @ £60, so that you can decide whether I'm the right counsellor for you. There's no obligation to make a contract for further sessions at this time. Call 07850 445499 or 01689 861905, if you prefer to have a brief discussion first.
I am a fully registered BACP Counsellor/Psychotherapist, (having qualified since 2004 and with 10+ years NHS experience), practising in the Orpington/Bromley borough area; although I also cover clients from the wider South East London and Kent areas.
My experience includes 10 years within SLAM (South London & Maudsley) NHS Foundation Trust in London. This work involved working with patients struggling with: anxiety/panic disorders, depression, OCD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, low self-esteem/confidence, co-dependency, bereavement, childhood trauma/abuse, PTSD, alcohol dependency and personality disorders, amongst other struggles. This work was undertaken through 1:1, Group and Family therapy. During this time I also received one year's training at the Institute of Psychiatry, studying Systemic (Family/Couple/Group/ Relationship) therapy.
Previous to the above experience, I also worked as a counsellor in a mixed-sex secondary school for 2 years, supporting children aged 11-18yrs with various issues/struggles.
In addition, I worked in a Bereavement Agency in Bromley for 2 years.
I am told that I have a welcoming and personable nature and can relate to all types of people.
I believe that every individual is unique and important and has the right to be heard and supported when struggling with mental health problems, whether these be long or short-term. Hence the reason for my passion in working to provide a safe, genuine, non-judgemental space for you, my client, to explore and work through such difficulties, gaining insight and clarity, enabling you to find answers and peace of mind for short-term issues, or more positive ways to manage your mental health with long-term struggles.
